On July 2 President Vladimir Putin signed Russia’s new National Security Strategy. The Strategy has been updated every six years, the previous versions being accepted in 2009 and 2015. The most recent version of the Strategy has been heavily revised. The 2021 version of the Strategy outlines Russia’s ambitions, concerns as well as a vision for the future, highlighting internally coherent view of Russia’s national interests and threats facing Russia.

Assembled on the basis of the Strategies, the purpose of this table is to provide a tool for detailed comparison of the three documents.
